there is a sophomore in my class whose like that -> got 240 on the PSAT's, 99.6 (or maybe 99.8?) GPA, takes mostly advanced Junior classes, not very humble AT ALL! Brags like crazy!

but he is beatable, from personal experience (I've done it :)) -> but he brags even then!

Sadly, he is a friend of mine, he does have a good side deep, deep down

Wow, I cannot wait to see what Kit Armstrong will be accomplishing when he becomes of IMO-participating age.. :p

And, FINALLY, someone who enjoys naming his/her pets after atomic elements as much as I do!! (Although, really, couldn't he have come up with something more exotic? Like "Rhenium".. or "Astatine"?!)

I know two people who are really similar to the first post.

1st- There is a senior in my school. She is not only Valedictiorian but a National Merit Finalist as well. She scored a 2400 on her PSATs and a 2300 on her SATs (first try). She pretty much dedicates her life to studying and is getting paid to go to a university and study chemistry. The killer- she's only 16. She'll be 17 when she graduates (just barely), but still. She won the science bowl, participates in nhs and robotics, got all fives on three or four ap exams (including two for which she didn't take the class; biology and history). I feel jealous at times because people are always comparing me to her. I mean seriously, I can't live up to that!

2nd- This girl is unbelievable! She is in karate, key club, theatre, art, and manages to fit in nhs, orchestra, and student council. The weird part...she's only a sophomore. She took the PSAT and most likely got above a 200. She is extremely organized and really sweet, but when people compare me to her...I flinch. I am personally as unartistic as it gets, so it's just a real bummer to be compared to her.

Won the Science Bowl? I participate in that, and the girl you're describing doesn't ring a bell. Unless, you mean she won a Regional competition or some other science bowl than the National variety.
