Come rant about those oh-so-perfect people...

You know what I'm talking about, those win-at-life people who are so good at everything that it depresses you. Here's my "person":

She's perfect - scored a 141 on the AMC10, recently took the January (I think) SAT and got a 2400 (first try), is valedictorian out of our class of 1025, president of math club, vice-president of science club, an amazing artist, and, on top of all that, she's well-liked and very humble. She's not one of those study-maniacs either. And what's worse? She's only a freshman.

I'm so jealous :(

wow lol that's crazy

Class of 1025? That's crazy!

No sports for her? No mention of her ..attractiveness?

I know some elite students (they are my friends) but I am in no way jealous of what they have accomplished, nor do I think they are perfect. They all have flaws, for they are human. I am happy for them.
Plus joining the group of elite students helps one learn more and it is very inspiring. Just my two cents.

I hate children who THINK they're "oh-so perfect."

Do you want a mention? She made the basketball and volleyball team in 7th and 8th grade (opted out this year because of scheduling conflicts) and is on a swim team outside of school. Personally, I think she is pretty (my mom does not think so) and so do the guys apparently. She is taken, but I have two guy-friends that have crushes on her.

I mean "jealous" in the nicest way. She's a very friendly person, and I've talked to her a couple times. I completely respect her (everyone does), and I don't wish ill on her or anything. But thank you. You make a good point.

^ I respect your friendliness as well, because I know some people probably would've cyber-guillotined me. :)

Hm, the girl mentioned in the first post: how long will she be valedictorian for? She might burn out by junior year--people do. Math club and science club are generic and colleges aren't wowed by them. Everyone has a weakness.

The main thing is to believe in yourself--that sounds SO cheesy but I truly wish I had had enough self-confidence back in freshman year. I was surrounded by so many brilliant people at my school that I sold myself short. I told myself I wasn't good enough at certain subjects, that I just wasn't cut out for certain things ("I'm nowhere near as good as so-and-so.")
And here I am now, with a perfect SAT score thinking "Why did I give myself that mental block? If I had had a better attitude I could have been good at so many more things instead of cutting myself off."
So my point to you is...forget those people. Believe in your own skills.

In that case, I hate her. I wish we were all like her so we could all cure cancer and stuff though:D

plz give her my number

^ ...haha u bastard

ew
10 chars

I found that the one person I used to perceive to be that way lives this ridiculously contained life that I could never live, and that she has a lot of really ugly flaws that I've been slow to recognize. But really, everyone is their own person, so I try really hard to avoid to compare myself to anyone else.

The smartest kid I know

We were friends at summer camp -- I'll be bragging about having known this kid for the rest of my life.

^^ Holy...
