Coming from a UF Homer: FSU is a damn fine institution!

<p>Mind you I am a UF grad and the un-official historian for this institution: </p>

<p>I am excited to see some of the amazing progress that FSU is making. Did you guys know that the legislature in the 2006 Session put FSU on the top Tier with UF as the Research Flagships of the SUS? </p>

<p>In addition UF & FSU are now going to have an additional $70 million more a year to improve the faculty at both institutions. I have also read that FSU is in the process of hiring 200 additional faculty hires, and has a legitimate shot of joining the Association of American Universities (which is comprised of the 62 top Research Universities in the country).</p>

<p>Not to take anything away from UCF & USF, but FSU is making great strides to advance on the national scene. This is truly the Golden Era for UF & FSU.</p>

<p>Yes, you really can't go wrong attending either of these fine institutions --- if you can get admitted.</p>

<p>I would also like to add: FSU grads seem to own the Legislature. They make up almost half of the total membership.</p>
