Hey there, I am currently in my second semester in a community college and have the goal of wanting to attend West Point. To be completely honest, I went into high school strong, my freshman year passed all my college prep classes with a 3.8 without really trying too hard. During my sophomore year I began to slack off into the C and B range and now I am living to regret it. Although my grades went from great to slightly above average I still continued to do sports. I graduated with 2 years of junior varsity track and 3 years of football (two of them varsity). Overall my grades in highschool were above average because I did not try too hard. To my detriment, I have always been a late bloomer throughout my life.

I am almost positive I would not be able to get into West Point based on my grades inHigh School and first semester of college. But I am currently willing to do whatever it takes to get in, be it through ROTC, Military Prep-School, USMAPS. I have been researching alot lately about how people like me have managed to get into the program and basically I would just like to get some more ideas on what would be the most efficient way for me to be able to attend West Point.

I know I am a bright person, with leadership skills and athleticism to boot, but due to my lack of motivation in early high school I fear it may cost me my dream. I think everyday about how much I would like to hone my skills and become a great asset to society and my country.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and for helping me out.
