haha good job darkzeroman

hoping for a call.

Sounds like the info I had heard may have been correct. Source was my son who is an Emory freshman. For those of you on the waiting list, best of luck!

Sounds like you have a good choice in front of you, darkzeroman. Good luck! Haha.

so well I turned it down, so another of you should be getting a call.

So GT for you? Did Emory tell you their financial aid offer when they called you off the waitlist?

Yeah, I had to send in a form that I had forgotten to do, but that took like half a day to take care of.

50/4000 were accepted off the waitlist.. I just got back in town from emory after being accepted to the university. Awesome place.

Good Luck all:

I think more spots will open up after all the acceptances and non acceptances are tallied. Emory was high on my list, but I'm giving up my spot for Stern at NYU.

Good Luck.

I GOT OFF THE WAITLIST

HAPPIEST DAY EVER

good luck to all you other waitlistees, send them an email, that's what i did.
definetly accepting at emory
all this hard work has finally paid off.
WOOOO

Ogee,

Are you saying that you just sent them an email asking if you could get off the waitlist, or did you take some other tack? This is interesting.

Yes, please explain. Daughter still on waitlist. Very much Emory is top choice

i wrote them an email just saying that i would like to reemphasize my interest in emory, a couple of my recent academic achievements, and ended with that i would definitely choose it if i got off the waitlist. also i was very straightforward and did not beg or plead. just be confident.

i sent it to both the main admissions email and to the counselor from my specific state.

Hey everyone, I am super excited to say that I got in off of the waitlist last tuesday. (May 8) and couldnt be happier. I am extremely excited and cannot wait for the fall.

Has anyone gotten off of the wait list this week? Emory is my first choice and I was wondering if anyone has heard from admissions lately.

D chose not to stay on waitlist; had 5 other super choices that really wanted her. Today she got a letter from Emory thanking her for her patience for staying on the waitlist (Huh?) and regretfully telling her that they would not be taking anyone else off the list as they now have a full class. However, they have offered her the opportunity to keep her name under consideration should someone else change their mind about attending between now and the start of the school year. She will not, of course, seek this, but it will be interesting if she gets another "sorry" letter later!

binx,

i got the same letter. i had gotten into my top choice over emory so i took myself off the waiting list...but then i got the letter saying i was on the waitlist but would not be getting off of it. sounds like we got the same letter. strange..

did anyone get off the waitlist?
