comm. studies/media studies to top mba program?

hey guys, I want to major in comm. studies/media studies and go to a top grad school for business (marketing emphasis). I want to work in the business side of entertainment.

Is it possible to major in something like comm. studies and go to a top business school? Will business schools not like this major?

I am thinking about double majoring in econ to improve my chances of getting into a top business school? Should i bother double majoring?

Thanks guys!

Business schools don’t really care what you majored in college, they care more about your job experiences.

Ok so that’s good, but does the job experience need to be related to business or can it be internships too? (like at Disney or paramount)

An MBA isn’t like other grad schools where you apply and go there right after undergrad. Students at top business schools possess multiple years of work experience. The typical profile an MBA student at a school like Harvard, Wharton, or Stanford is someone in their mid to late 20s with 3-5 years of work experience, often in management consulting, investment banking, investment management, and corporations.
