I've heard from multiple people that George Washington University does not like to be considered a backup school, and are more partial to applicants who actually want to attend, rather than use GWU as a safety. Now that I'm staring at the writing supplement, where it's asking where else I'm applying, I face a moral dilemma. Should I mention every college I'm applying to, or shorten my list and knock off a few reaches so I have a better chance of getting in?

You may leave it blank, and I can assure you it will not be to your disadvantage.
