Common App-College Official's Report

I am going to apply as a transfer student to Notre Dame, and I need to get this form filled out. Is it best to get it signed by the dean or my academic advisor? Since I am now only a freshman and I do not have a GPA, it would probably be pointless to get it filled out before the next semester starts in January, right? Anybody have any suggestions or experiences?

I’d like to know about this as well. I intend to apply as early as possible so I’m not sure exactly how the GPA situation would work out (I’m a freshman too)

Who fills out the College Official’s form varies from school to school, so ask your advisor, someone in administration for your department, the Registrar, etc. who should to it. I wouldn’t be concerned about the ‘evaluation’ part of the form, colleges know that the person that fills out the form often doesn’t know the student well, particularly freshmen.

Read the top of the form carefully. An official transcript with your fall grades needs to be included with the form, so yes, you need to wait until next semester when an official transcript is available.
