I know it's a little late, but during the time of of college apps, I accidentally uploaded my "additional information" into my "personal statement" area. I e-mailed Cornell clarifying and sending them the file. They said they would. Do you think that may have played a problem during my application? Or should it be okay since they already said they would? I never was able to call to make sure because Cornell's phone service tells people not to ask individual questions about application statuses..
Thankssss

Stop worrying, trust Cornell and find something to do until Wednesday

haha thanks i need to stop reading so many posts. they’re makng me really nervous.

You didn’t just call them now, did you?
Like, the past week or so?
As I said in a previous post, the website on where to check your admissions is there but the text is just white so you can’t see it (gotta’ highlight it).
Therefore, a 99.999% chance that the decisions have already been made - look at all of those likely letters out there.

If you sent out that email recently, tough luck: they only said that to say it.

They would’ve noticed something like that. That’s a pretty major issue, but because of the way the CommonApp prints, it’ll all show up regardless.

My S applied to Cornell ED. We found a big-deal typo/mistake in last sentence of his common app essay two days after submitting it. We phoned a bunch of times. When we connected to admissions people they were nice but said the app had been sent to CAS for review. We couldn’t track it.
Admissions office told us not to worry. We worried. Our GC called and finally got the right person to swap out old document for new. GC was also told not to worry even if they reviewed the app with error; admissions are not that inhumane or crazed. He got in. Your error is de minimis. You will be reviewed on your merits. Good luck!

Actually, I sent them the e-mail the day after I turned in my common app when I finally noticed it. Basically, I forgot to include my essay into the application, but I e-mailed them. I don’t know if it’ll be okay. Anyways, it’s too late now. Hopefully, it will be ok.
