Common App glitch--should we do anything?

We just reviewed Ds Common App online already submitted Nov 15 for ED. The printout version with the long essay was fine when we checked it two weeks ago before submitting, but when we just now viewed it on screen, final paragraphs two and three were run together as one paragraph and the three-word title appeared as the first sentence of the first paragraph. My instinct is to do nothing and assume they will realize this is caused by the software "saving space". It feels like overdoing it to write and explain that D knows how to space paragraphs.

What do you all think?

That is incredibly annoying! Have you tried printing it out again to see if the printed version is formatted correctly? We snailmailed duplicate copies of the essays because we were not happy with commonapp formatting. In your case I would probably do nothing, other than fume.

[ahhh, a glitch with the commonapp.... NOT a frequently occurring glitch with applications]

People, people!

Since this happened to the COMMON application, rest assured that it happened to everyone who used it. The schools must see thousands of essays that are truncated or resized in the same way. Rest assured that they will know that the title is merged with the same paragraph and that extra spaces were deleted.

In the end, the contents are much more important than the formatting!

While I agree with xiggi that it is not of great importance, I do not think it hurts to email or fax a correctly formatted essay.

Thanks, all, for the moral support. This time of year is getting me increasingly frazzled and there's still the fafsa to look forward to!
