I tried pasting from notepad, and it still cuts them off. I dont know what to do. The essay can be read, but some of the words have their last letters cut off. Anyone know a solution?

Do you mean the words at the edges of the margins, or that your essay was too long and the end was cut off?

The words at the end of the margins.

You can try adding some spaces so the word goes onto the next line.

Dude its usually like half a letter. If it is then chill out. The people will be able to understand what you are trying to say. This is what happened to me on all common applications. I just let it be.

However if its like a whole word... then you should worry.

Gyros, sorry if I sounded panicked. :D It is normally around half a letter at most...for the word school, however, it spells it schoo. I've tried what they've said, and it still comes out the same...I'll just submit it as is.

Thanks!

And anyhow its not your fault. You typed it correctly. Its the common app thing that displays it. not you.

Ya, Ive experienced that too, but what can you do?!? It cuts off like part of a letter or a letter, but you just gotta go with it. Thats the Common APp

That is why my son's chool recommends printing out the Common App plus the supplement and sending in the hard copy. For the essays, use the Word version.

are you sweeping from microsoft word into Common Ap? If
so, perhaps you have the margins set too wide (compared to what
the ComAp expects) on your computer's Microsoft word.

Paying3tuitions, I formatted it in Notepad, and did all that stuff so that an unadulterated copy would get pasted.

or just really simple

you can do this edit directly in the common app textbox

you probably wrote "someword school" right?

well, turn it into "somewordschool" and click in between someword and school and do a hard return (press the 'enter' key)

then view it and it'll shift the school onto the next line :]
