Given your personal background, describe an experience that illustrates what you would bring to the diversity in a college community, or an encounter that demonstrated the importance of diversity to you. </p>

<p>I'm thinking about writing about growing up in Iowa... would this be good or too broad?</p>

<p>Is there a specific event that happened in Iowa that you will write about? It may be a little broad, but if you write about specific experiences, you could make it work.</p>

<p>well i think that makes me different and so i was just going to write about the whole thing, but i would throw in a examples and stuff to illustrate my point...</p>
