Common App Shtuff

<p>[prepare for rambling]</p>

<p>So... I have one more EC spot to fill, and I think I'm gonna put MUN.</p>

<p>But yeah... What would I put MUN under? Other Club/Activity?</p>

<p>Urgh... college stuff equals not cool.</p>

<p>I really have no idea what to put for my activities. Here's what I put:
Varsity Skiing
Community Service-Sunday Ski School
Student Government
Debate/Speech-Speech
Varsity Cross-Country
Varsity Outdoor Track</p>

<p>but now what should I put for my last spot?
MUN - best delegate at the only conference my school attends. not much time though (20 hrs/week for 2 weeks?)
Math League - 1st team all-conf, possibly captain (won't vote for another month or so)
Science O - state, unofficial captain (I could work on the official title)
Enviro Club - 4 years, no leadership stuff (for anyoen in the school), but we've gotten a lot done
Orch - small awards? I also quit...</p>

<p>Clueless much? MUN is the correct choice, right?</p>

<p>I'm in Math League too, but it's only once a month so I wouldn't put it on there. I didn't. Put what you like best. Model UN sounds good, but so does the Environmental Club. Put Orchestra down on your Resume but not on the list for the Common Application.</p>

<p>I had the hardest time with this section too, it's hard deciding the order of importance of activities.</p>

<p>My parents and I had a hell-of-a-time trying to figure out what my dad's job stuff would be. Also, my mom's occupation and position/title were the EXACT same. RIGHT...</p>

<p>Hmm, I don't remember seeing the position/title thing, I better go check that. But yeah, I waited for the longest time to fill anything on the App out because I was so nervous to fill it in and then want to change it. I finally started writing stuff and it relieved so much of the anxiety that I've had about college applications, it made it seem doable rather than the huge, difficult ordeal you always think of when you hear the words college applications.</p>

<p>uhm.... position/title, I beleive refers to Mr. Ms. Dr. etc... (I may be wrong, but otherwise it makes no sense...) er, I dunno</p>

<p>Anyway... I think I decided to switch the activities again. I was going to write my short answer on this Youth Grant thing (that I didn't include on the activities list), but now I think I'm gonna put the Grant thing in the activities and write the short answer on volunteering at ski school.</p>
