Common App Teacher Recommendation Question

Hi everyone!

I am new here to the forum, and I came here to see if anybody can help me out.

I have recently submitted a request for a teacher recommendation letter to one of my teachers from last year.

It seemed that everything was going smoothly, until she tried to log in today. She told me that she had received my invite. However, the email stated, (I read it, too) that if she selected to be an online provider for me, the system would not allow her to opt out to be an offline provider for the other students who have requested recommendations from her through Common App. We have no idea why. I did the online way to avoid sending them through the mail.

Can my teacher chose to be an online provider for me, and for other students, an offline provider? That is the problem. It is telling us that if she chose to be an online provider, she has to be an online provider for every other student. It will not let her pick and chose for each student.

Thank you guys so much for your help! I really appreciate it a lot!

Updated* I just received an email from Common App Support.

I still have some questions…

Now the problem is, one of the two teachers that are writing recommendation letters for me submitted an online letter for a student who previously asked this year. I am assuming they have to stick to doing an online letter for me as well.

Now, the second teacher will have to write me a letter and send it through the mail.

Is it alright if one submits their letter online, and the second one on paper through the mail?

I am submitting my Common App online. Is it ok if some pieces are mailed, and not submitted online, in this case one out of the two recommendation letters?

Thank you again!
