How did you structure your application?

Since most supplements ask about your academics, is it better to describe an experience/story in the Common App (such as something charitable), in order to demonstrate a well rounded student?

Lets say you focus your whole app on love for science/math
is there the problem of being too focused/overlapping?

Are you talking about the essays?

You want to write something, usually with a bit of a narrative line, that explains something you are very passionate about and also displays good character traits (determination, leadership, kindness, etc) without being forced. I don’t think there’s a problem with overlapping, but if you have other things you would like the college to know about you that are important (such as volunteer work), you might want to try to incorporate it. However, if they see you have done a lot of things related to one area, they do expect usually to see an essay about it, so it is no fault if you do that either.
