Common App vs Indiv School's App

Do universities/colleges weigh the common application and their own application differently?
If a school has the option of using either one, would they prefer us to us their own?
Would we look lazy with common app?
Are they bias? Which looks better?

1) No.
2) No.
3) No.
4) Doesn't matter.

That's the agreement the schools make when they agree to take the Common App.

Exactly, you should make that decision based upon which application you feel more comfortable with and your personal convenience; colleges view both equally.

And since colleges ** don't ** weight their own app more than the common app, you should really use the common app because college application season is hectic enough as it is. The common app is simple, and easy, and leaves room for personalization if so desired.

Especially for the busy work such as gathering Recs and all of that.
