At a school like Northwestern or NYU where they have both a common plus supplement and a regular application, would it be advantageous to use their own app?

Colleges which agree to use of the common app are supposed to not discriminate based on whether the commo app or their own is used. Supposed to anyway...

yea they are supposed to but do you think it really makes a differnece?

i guess its not that much extra work to type out your personal info a few times.

i asked ths before. after looking at different apps and the common app, it seems that the common app supplement is more or less just like the essay part of the reuglar app for a school. it is meant to save you time from getting recs again and again and from writing your info again and again.

i went to a northwestern info session in may and they kept saying how they offer the common app, so maybe they want everyone to use it so they dont have to make an app again and be like harvard and cornell
