@xotriish: according to people in this thread you’re only supposed to put other schools you’ve attended or summer school for remedial credit… I’ve been wondering the same.

To anybody who has checked the teacher recs of Common App: Regardless of the whole thing becoming online, can we still send it the old way? And, my school doesn’t have a CEEB code, so maybe the online thing won’t be for me. Also, when inviting teachers, the email address is optional - how in hell are they gonna invite teachers without email addresses??

I’ve gone through the Common App for a bunch of my schools but I’m done with the application process and everything now. I was trying to sign back onto my Common App account to look back at my essays and things but it did not recognize my username/password. I tried to have it send my password to me but it didn’t recognize my email. So does the Common App delete user accounts after the application “season.”

The common app has to upload it into its system. Many colleges had their supplements up on their website before Common App had it (mostly because many colleges use the same supplement year after year). Just wait a few days.

I would caution everyone against actually submitting the application before school starts. Yesterday we found out from another parent that son’s GC has gone to another school in the Distrct…so she would still receive the calls and emails, but she’d have to spend the whole year directing colleges to the current counselor has she already been listed on an app. Also, last year, my son picked up his schedule and got one of his alternate courses (an AP class) in lieu of the (regular) class he’d signed up for. These are both things that will be of a bit of importance on an application.

So my parents when to college in another country (China) and when I tried to put down their schools, the commonapp kept asking me for a CEEB code… Which doesn’t exist.

So what am I suppose to do? If I leave it blank will they assume that I’m first gen or something?
