common application deadline & other questions

<p>Hey, I was wondering, how does the deadline work for the online common app?
Hopefully I won't have to deal with this, but if <a href="http://www.commonapp.org%5B/url%5D"&gt;www.commonapp.org&lt;/a> says that the application is due November 1st, does that mean the latest I can turn my application in is 11:59 PM on October 31st (the night before November 1st) or do I have the entire day of November 1st, i.e. until 11:59 PM that night?</p>

<p>Also, for the joint-degree program essays (more specifically the Vagelos Program) what is the word minimum/maximum?</p>

<p>it's a hypothetical, and also just something i wanted to know, just in case... say my power/internet goes out or something and for some reason i'm turning it in on november 1.

<p>For the joint-degree prgm essays, neither paper app nor online app specifies the word limit, but considering the fact that all the other essays are limited to a page, I think you should make it fit into a page.</p>

<p>i submitted my PENN common app like 4 minutes late… does it matter!!!</p>

<p>^^^ i submitted 11 mins late, but unfortunately i signed with todays date(the 2nd)… so they might not know exactly how late i sent it in =/</p>
