Common Application Question..

If I send a Common application to a school, will I be able to fix it incase of mistakes even after submitting?

BTW, just wanted to make first :D.

Wow, that took all of 10 seconds to break in the forum, Yopua!

Your position as #1 is secure. :)

If I understand it correctly, after you click the submit button, the only way to fix it is to contact the school you have sent it to.

Ok, so as you know, you have to submit Teacher Recommendations, School Forms, Mid-Year Forms. However, although you apply online for commonapp, teachers prefer that you give them paper forms. Thus, instead of using the online "school form invite" option, you have to download the forms. Now, colleges say that, if you are using the paper version, you should make sure your commonapp id is at the bottom of the page (without it, your form is void).

Well there's a problem. When you go to download forms on the commonapp website, it only lets you do this when you're logged out. So, as you download forms, your ID doesn't appear anywhere. And, I don't think you can just write your ID in pen at the bottom. What do we do?

Yes, you can write the ID at the bottom of the page.

The fact is that if something comes in by paper, it'll either be processed by hand or scanned and indexed to go with your electronic folder. The number helps in matching your credentials up to the right application. Just write it at the bottom of the paper if your recommendation writer wants to submit a hard copy.

how long is the ID number, i'm pretty sure mine shows up on the rec form, but just want to verify

so..i've read thru all the threads about how you submit teacher's recs letter, but i still dont seem to get it. my way of understanding is that we print out the forms ourselves and give it to our teachers. when they finish filling them out, they will send them directly to the colleges with our transcripts and stuff. is that right? if so, how do i make sure the one i printed out is valid?(some ppl say that there must be a commonapp id and name on it for it to be accepted)...i hope u could help me out with this..thanks in advance
