Hey guys, I had an idea about the Additional Information section and was wondering if anyone thought it was a good one...I'll briefly explain my situation first-

I'm a straight-A student at a very respected school in New York City and my EC's are quite exceptional. However, I have a severe anxiety issue which greatly affects my performance on the ACT. My current highest score is a 26, which is certainly not up to par for my first choice: NYU. I've applied for extra time on the test but I was not given it due to the fact that I never had it in high school.

Would it be a good idea to use the "Additional Information" section of the Common App to explain why my score is such an outlier compared to the rest of my application? I'm really ashamed of this score (although I know it isn't a bad one) and am desperate to have it disregarded as much as possible...

Please state any opinions you have. Thank you!!
