Commonapp Recs only say "started" and my app is due at midnight. HELP!

I am frantic right now; I have emailed all my recommenders multiple times trying to get them to finish their recommendations but they never reply. Only one of my FOUR recs says "submitted"; all the others says "started". Is their time for them to submit after November 1st, the early action deadline for my school? I really need answers, please!!

Recs don’t matter for the deadline. Submit without them and see your GC on Monday to get help with your teacher recs.
Go to the CA help center and ask if you are worried.
Make sure to submit today.

Can anyone confirm that this is true? And yes if course, I did submit the app today. But will the letters of recommendation be accepted after the early action deadline?

I know it’s true for Georgia Tech and University of Georgia. Policies may differ per school, though I’m sure that most tend to be lenient with the deadlines for the recommendations.

Contact your colleges to find out.

It is true for all schools I know of. Just get your app in. Other supporting docs can be sent later.

Relax… colleges (and your GC and recommenders) know that the school portions of the app often come in after the student part. Get YOUR portion done and in on time, and talk to your GC on Monday. In case there is a glitch with the uploads (you may have already annoyed your recommenders if you have been too strident in your requests), go to your GC first. Think about it. Colleges can’t read every app the first day anyway. It takes them a few days to download everything, and more time to go through the apps. They are used to schools not getting their side done on time, and it doesn’t reflect on you.

Okay, I feel a lot better now. It’s just stressful with everything I have going on. Thanks a lot y’all.

I emailed the Common App help folks today about a very very similar question.

So, if you don’t believe me, email them and get the same answer I got.

Kids might be paranoid, but parents are more paranoid, because they’re getting you guys out of the house!!

Can you imagine if they had the CA due on a Saturday and people had to bother their school officials on the weekend to get forms and so on?

The teachers may think they HAVE submitted the rec, but they probably have missed a question (tell them to doublecheck their profile section) and just see the button “SAVE”. Once they answer all questions, the “SUBMIT” button appears.
