hi man u did a good job.
thanks

in january i took math and french just for practice to see how does the sats look like and didnt prepare at all so my results were like 660.
in june i prepared so i believe these scores will be better so can i avoid sending january results, i.e. only to send june results?

Reccomended, but not required by most universities?

I got about mid 600s on both the chemistry and math 2 test, not exactly in the crapper, but not good either. so they really aren’t going to help me, probably going to hurt me if i submit the scores.

Now, I’m looking into Stanford, University of Chicago, Duke, and Northwestern. They all have a “reccomended, but not required” kind of clause in their admissions. I take the ACT, not the SAT if that clarifies anything.

If SAT II scores are not submitted, will the lack of submission hurt my chances at admissions?

Yesterday I was signed up to take 3 tests and I took the first two but did the third in the test booklet without bubbling in the answer sheet. Then I decided it was too hard and turned in my answer sheet with only 2 tests bubbled. Do you think I will be penalized? Will they look at my test book and see that I did the test? Could they score that test? Do they know that you sat in for the third test? Could my other 2 scores be cancelled because I sat in for the third but didn’t report it?

AHHH HELP!!

^…no

No, to all my questions? Why do you think that?

I don’t see how they would know that you sat for 3 tests. I think you’re fine.

That’s what I’m worried about. I think the proctor might be instructed to sort them by hour/test # received though…

I think that would be giving the proctor too much responsibility. If you’re really worried then cancel your scores (it will cancel all of them) and take them later. If you want to risk it, then see what happens.

If only more people would read this before posting threads about the same questions over and over.

Ok I’m new at this…
So, I want to study English/Literature at one of the Ivy League schools. Do you think that it is imperative that I take a Math 2 subject test since that isn’t really near my field of study I want to go into? Techinically I can pick any three I want, right? So should I go with my strengths i.e. Literature, U.S. History, Spanish? Or should I take the math?

Go with your strengths.

Take the tests you think you’ll do best on.

thanks, i’ll do that then!

Yes u can if u r in ur 11th grade or lower.

Do colleges accept December scores for RD?

Whats the easiest subject test or tests?

Which tests require the least studying/prep?

I took the SAT World History in June as a freshman. I have not applied to any colleges yet, obviously. I sent my score to four colleges, but what do they do when the receive them? Create a file of me for future reference?

So I just found out that it’s required to take at least 2 SAT II’s (it sucks that I have to take these tests just because one of eight of my schools require them) and I’m trying to decide which to take so that I can start studying.

My best subjects are Spanish and French and I feel I could do pretty well on both of them (high 600s-700s) with listening. However, I have heard that you should vary your test subjects.

My second best subjects would be math and literature…but I don’t feel as comfortable with them as I do with the foreign languages.

What would you do?
