Can someone describe the communal bathrooms at temple? Im having a hard time imagining what they look like. How many toilets are there? Have you ever had to wait in line to use the toilet? How many showers are there? And is there a door to close the shower or is there just a curtain?
@Dreamer03 - I have a freshman daughter at Temple, in Hardwick. I have been in the communal bathrooms several times. They were very clean. They are large - many stalls, for both toilets and showers. I do know that there is a small area with a bench in each shower stall, that stays generally dry. I can’t remember if there are double curtains (one for the shower and one for the stall) or if there is a stall door. I’ll share your questions with my daughter, and get them answered.
THANK YOU so much for answering. I am going to be living in johnson next year and my main concern is the showers. I wasnt sure if i had to leave my clothes in my dorm room and get changed there. Or if there was an area in the bathroom where i could get changed.
Is Jonhson and Harwick just for students from Music, Dance and Media school?
When we toured Temple, I was very surprised at how nice the communal bathrooms were, at least that day they were. I don’t see where it would be that big a deal if you stayed in one of those dorms.
The day we toured, one of the dorm guys musn’t have gotten the memo. He walked in when we were there. He did come in only wrapped in a towel, so looked like he planned on changing in his room.
Johnson & Hardwick are generally freshmen housing. The communal bathrooms are large - my D, a freshman who lives in Hardwick, said she has never waited for a shower stall or a bathroom stall. The bathrooms are cleaned daily. The shower stalls have a double curtain - one for the entrance to the stall and one for the shower. The shower stall has a bench area, that can be used if a student wants to get dressed while in the bathroom. Some students just use bathrobes and dress in their rooms.
