One of my best friends is having a hard time finding some schools to apply to. I offered to throw her pleas out to the wild to see what sorts of ideas people come up with.

Her restrictions: schools on the east coast which offer good humanities or communications programs. [She seems to be leaning towards majoring in communications, film, art history, or something in the humanities. She definitely wants to be able to minor in art or take a lot of good art classes, but she's hesitant about majoring in it.]

A little about her: SAT score was about 1700, but she's expecting to do better on the ACT since the test fits her style a little better. Her GPA is around a 3.0-3.5. She has a lot of community service, work experience [mostly tutoring and daycare], and has some national awards from language competitions. [I thinks she speaks four languages, so language and traveling are pretty big to her.]

I apologize that I'm being so vague with information about her, but right now, I mostly just want to find a bunch of schools at any level which fit her criteria. I think that right now, she just needs exposure to the types of schools available so we can browse through them and get to know more about what she likes and dislikes.

Thank you for any help!
