Communications major; worried about admission

First: What colleges in the U.S. (northeast and midwest please) and Canada (Ontario) have good communications programs (and I DON'T mean journalism)? I've done some research but obviously have probably overlooked some.

Second: Sometimes I think I am reaching too far. I have disappointed myself a lot during high school. I have a 3.2 unweighted and 3.5 weighted GPA, and 1100/1720 SAT score, (retook it but haven't gotten scores back yet). I've also done very poorly in math, got a D second quarter freshman year algebra I, but A's in liberal arts math, and B's in geometry. I am taking nothing senior year. First quarter ends tomorrow and I have all A's right now, including an honors class (government/economics). I've taken honors english since 9th, and AP last year, but I failed the exam; I got a 2. I have AP Lit next semester. I took honors us history and AP us history last year, which I passed with a 3. I have no community service, and decent EC's but nothing too special. National Honor Society, International Thespian Society, Drama, Tri-M, Chamber Choir... That's it.

Like I said, I want to go into communications, and am applying to:
BU
Ithaca
Marist
Northeastern
Northwestern
York (Toronto)

What do you think?

Boston University may be a reach school, however look into Quinnipiac University in connecticut. It has a terrific communications program.

Northwestern is too much of a reach. I don't want to squash your dreams, but the kids I know there are in the top 10% of highly rated Chicago area schools. It's not just getting in, it's a question of whether you could survive the competition.

Try looking at some smaller liberal arts schools, especially in the midwest, where you would add some diversity. DePauw, in Greencastle, Indiana, is one to consider.

I second Quinnipiac and try Fordham.

Thanks for Quinnipiac! Looks like a great school for me. DePaul should be good too. I won't be giving any of my time to Fordham, though.

Have I made good choices so far, trying to pick schools with good communications programs? That still hasn't been addressed yet.

Anyone? Please?
