Community college credit transfer over summer to UC Merced

tl;dr i got pretty sick and messed up my gpa (lost like 30lbs) and then I got a concussion the next semster and had pcs lol...

Now I want to take a few classes at a community college over the summer (I'm currently an engineering major)
<a href="http://transfers.ucmerced.edu/docs/UCMTransferCreditPracticesRightToKnow.pdf">http://transfers.ucmerced.edu/docs/UCMTransferCreditPracticesRightToKnow.pdf</a></p>

Now it says "Except for courses taken at other UC campuses, transfer work does not affect the UC Merced grade point
average"

So if I took classes at the community college and I had to list my gpa for a job application, would the cc gpa count towards the gpa I'd put on there(cumulative)?

UC Merced will calculate GPA based only on courses taken at UCs.

What an employer who asks for GPA wants to see is independent of what UC Merced will calculate.

If you really want to ensure that there is no question of honesty (if they verify GPAs and the like), you can list on your resume:

UC Merced GPA: ____
___ CC GPA: ____
Overall GPA: ____

The first two would be exactly as reported on the schools’ transcripts.
