Community college credits, worth it?

Hello, today my CISCO teacher spent the entire class talking about the 8 dual-college credits through its CTE programs thing. Well so I basically know that I get both college and high school credits for taking that course. If we pass the course, we would get college credits from a Queens Community College. Also I would like to let you know that I do not want to stay in New York for college. So I got 2 questions

1) If I took it, and passed it, would these colleges Penn State, Purdue, UIUC or Northeastern uni accept them? Do most of colleges accept community college credits?

2) If I took it, even though colleges don't accept those credits, and I passed it with A's. Would this give me more chances to get accepted in better schools?

Thanks in advance!

If those colleges you named have a course that matches the course you are taking, there’s a good chance they will accept it.

It would make you seem more prepared for college work, something colleges like to see. I won’t say it will increase your chances but you will be seen in a better light by the college.

As a general rule, if the courses counted towards high-school graduation requirements, elite-ish private schools won’t take them. You can usually find all of the information on transfer credits on each school’s admissions page, usually under transfer students. Each university is different.
