Hey I am currently in the process of getting a Liberal Arts Business Degree from Middlesex CC and then plan to transfer to Rutgers New Bruns. . I was wondering if I graduated with a GPA of say 3.75 if I would be likely to get a good scholarship or something...Anyone have any experience with this or any knowledge about it??

Thanks.

Your not guaranteed to get any of them even if you qualify. I just finished CC with a 3.9 in engineering and didn’t get any of their scholarships.

Damn ziggy, what scholarship did you apply for? I will be applying for spring 2012 with over 65 credits and a 4.0 GPA in chemistry. I am hoping to get some money.

There’s no application they just select people from the whole pool of transfers who qualify. It said scholarships are awarded in April and I didn’t get any.

Here is the Rutgers page for transfer scholarships: [Rutgers | Rutgers Admissions](http://admissions.rutgers.edu/Costs/Scholarships/TransferScholarships.aspx)

If your application is strong and you didn’t get a scholarship, I would follow up anyway. Call admissions and say you want to ask about scholarships; explain your situation. It can’t hurt. Some of the people who are awarded scholarships may choose not to attend; I would ask how these scholarships are reassigned.

Always be (pleasantly) persistent and don’t give up until you have exhausted your options.
