Hello so I have a couple of questions... so college applications are coming in soon and I'm thinking in the case that I do not make it to a UC what do you guys suggest? CC to UC or just go straight to CSU for undergad. I wanna do AFROTC so I don't know how that's gonna work if I spend 2 years CC 2 years UC.

It doesn’t matter where you go to school unless you’re counting on a job on Wall Street. Go to the school you get into and work your butt off. It’s not where you go but what you do. It’s mostly about you, not some brick and mortar.

Thank you for your kind words… you know whenever I talk to my parents about college like “ah UCs are getting harder each year idk if I can make it I think I will go to a state college instead and it’s cheaper” they get really upset and stop talking to me for a while… so it’s not necessarily more about my happiness but theirs.

Some parents are more about prestige than others. And you can see why if you’re dropping 30K each year for a school you’ve never heard of. Students can get all about prestige, too, if they’ve heard about it all their lives and worked really hard at school and done well. What’s important is that parents find a college their child fits well in that they can pay for without foregoing retirement or taking a second mortgage or breaking bad.
