Community College

I know you can get credit for community college courses if they have agreements with UCLA, but I heard that once you reach a certain amount of credits, you will no longer be eligible to receive credit from a community college course.

I am a current freshman, and I need to figure this out because I plan to do my foreign language requirement at a community college, and this will determine if I take it this summer or next summer.

after a certain number of units (its a little over 100) you can no longer receive unit credit from a community college for classes taken over the summer. you can still, however, receive requirement credit. i would strongly recommend that you consult with an academic counselor first before taking the classes just to ensure that those particular classes will transfer over to UCLA.
