Community Service Ideas?

<p>Does anyone have ideas for some community service? I need to fulfill my school's requirement for graduation, and also have something interesting to do over my summer. I'm greatly involved in the literary magazine and newspaper at my school (editor-in-chief for both), so I'd also like to volunteer with something literary-related. I've done a little community service at the library already doing basic things like stocking books and washing shelves. I've also volunteered at a track camp over the summer because I run XC. I play tennis too, so I'd also like to maybe do something with that. In college, I'm considering psychology and philosophy as majors, so something related to that which could give me experience in the field would also be great.</p>

<p>So basically, any ideas for community service related to literacy/writing, track/XC, tennis, or psychology/philosophy?</p>

<p>Volunteer at your local newspaper (writing articles, helping around the office, or something). Maybe help out at your local tennis program… like be a ball boy for the tennis camp during the summer, or help teach the kids. Maybe you can hold a tennis tournament for kids, and money goes to charity.</p>

<p>Thanks for the ideas! I actually had volunteered at the local newspaper before but it unfortunatelty didn’t work out. I’ll definetly consider helping out at a tennis camp over the summer, I know of one run by my school actually; great idea!</p>
