How bad is it?.. say if I live about 15 miles away (location is ~1 mile away from old chinatown) Would driving to school everyday be a hassle? (requiring 1 hr + of commute each way?) thanks :)

you are looking at an hour during rush hour. i would pick classes around rush hours and you should be ok. Of course when it rains, forget it just stay on campus and wait out the traffic.

when's it usually rush hour? always? ;)

rush hour in LA is 6-10 in the AM, then 2-8 in the pm, sometimes even later. but if you drive at say 2 or 3 instead of 5, it will be better, you'll just hit some traffic. between 10-2 is pretty safe though not 100% guaranteed. from 9 pm to 6 am you should be fine

i ride Metro bus to UCLA from Koreatown. I usually leave my apartment an hour and half before the class starts. if you ask me, it sucks so i'm looking to move to westwood in june.

i commuted from dodger stadium area for summer. neverrr againnn.

over an hour each way. freeway or local roads made no difference.

I don't leave until 10:30 AM at the earliest and I stay until 8PM sometimes 7PM if I am feeling lucky haha
