As a junior, I have begun seriously scoping out colleges, developed a love for Georgetown and plan to visit over the summer. I'd like to believe I'm a strong candidate, but you can never be too sure. What schools are similar? I have heard many Georgetown applicants also apply to BC, but am not sure of others. If it's of any help, I'd like to major in political science and then attend law school. Thanks!

Can you give us a better idea of where you are academically? are you looking for schools above Georgetown in terms of selectivity or below it?

Without knowing specifics, you might look into Princeton or George Washington.

4.0 UW, as many AP/honor courses as possible, 204 PSAT (will be taking tests this spring), officer position in a few clubs...

I think I am looking for a range of schools, so above and below and around Georgetown in terms of selectivity. Thanks! :)

GW is slightly below in terms of selectivity but still a very solid school.

It depends how you define slight.
GW is getting better and better every year, but it is still leagues behind Gtown IMHO.
You'd probably do well to look at Columbia, Princeton, Tufts, and Northwestern? But I'm still a little unsure what kind of schools you're trying to look at.

There's also a lot of overlap between Georgetown, Duke, Boston College, and UVA. GW has more of a reputation as the DC party school, and it's the most expensive college in the United States. I'd say it's no where near Georgetown academically.

What is your tentative major? That might help you in your decision.
