comparative lit foreign language pre-req

I took 3 years of Spanish during high school (I am a senior, incoming ccc student) but the UCLA pre-req for comparative lit requires 2 years of a foreign language. Does this mean that I don't need to take Spanish anymore or do I need to re-take it in order for it to be legitimate. I'm confused, can someone lend some helpful advise?

And congrats to all of the UCLA admits--you all give me hope! =)

2 years of high school spanish is equivalent to one semester of spanish at CC.

So you should probably enroll in spanish 2 upon entering community college.

Yea I could be mistaken but 2 years of Spanish is like the equivalent of 4 Spanish courses. But you can cut out the first course of Spanish since you already took two years of high school. You can also consider taking a language competency test to see what Spanish you qualify for. Maybe you can skip Spanish 2 also.
