UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, Stanford, Northwestern, Cornell, & John Hopkins

i was wondering which school i should attend: berkeley, la, sd, northwestern, cornell, stanford, and john hopkins. I am majoring in biomedical engineering (premed) and was wondering which school offers the best programs. Thank you.

john hopins offers the best program for biomedical engineering, followed by ucsd.

but if you're not totally sure about bioengineering, go to stanford... it would be so hard to turn down stanford!

i'm not sure how bioengineering is at stanford, but i don't think it's horrible because it IS stanford. and stanford's name has a lot of clout....

stanford jhu and ucsd

stanford!!!

For Premed, I'd choose Stanford over JHU and the others.

I would recommend UCSD, Stanford and Johns Hopkins, in that order.

soliloquy> any reason why you say stanford for premed?

out of those you should go to johns hopkins or uc berkeley they have good science programs

I you want the best program JHU and UCSD are the highest rated but if you want the best balance, Stanford hands down. Neither JHU or UCSD are considered fun places to go to school. JHU is serious and cut throat, UCSD huge, impersonal and everyone lives in apartments and commutes. It will also take you 5 years most probably to get the classes you need to graduate. Stanford has a real committment to BME and is just plain a great school and a great college experience in ways the others can't compare to.
