I've asked in the past what colleges tend to take into consideration for admissions - and most of the people responded by saying unweighted GPA (since it's harder to be objective with weighted GPAs, since they vary). My question is - when I'm looking at other people's chance threads and comparing their stats to mine - should I disregard the weighted GPA, and only compare our unweighted GPAs? I have a relatively tough course load - it's just that (as far I know..) my school doesn't heavily weight grades.

My school weights AP classes by 1.04 and honor's classes by 1.025 for GPA calculations.

I see - I was just hoping that since my WGPA is only slightly higher than my UW GPA (though I do have a strong course load), that I would be a better advantage. I see many people on CC with 3.5-3.7 UW GPA that have 3.9 W GPAs and are applying to some better known schools. While I have a similar UW GPA - but lower W GPA
