it was tenacity

^ Omitted it... I think.
what were the choices?

Here goes another one... ='(

%#$% I put tenacity and i changed it to expediency.

That one was pretty obvious because the other choices really did not make much sense..imo..

did you guys say fortuitous, disappointing or catastrophic for the stoopid lake question? I feel that its fortuitous, but that paragraph was so convoluted because the author kept flipflopping, so I didn't know. I think disapointing may have fit now.

I put less evenhanded, but that question confused me, so I just PoE and guessed less evenhanded. (I think less accusatory is a worse answer, but I kinda think it may have been the right one.

It was definitely fortuitous because the question asked how did he felt about the outcome of the incident? The drill came short of hitting the lake so obviously he would not be disappointed that it did not come into contact with the lake...

hmmmm... could the both "painted on rocks" answer be "featured prominently?"

He could have been dissapointed that the drill came so close because that led everyone to discover the lake and want to drill in it, and the author at times doesn't want people to drill in the lake. But yeah, I thought fortuitous. God, there's so many questions I'm unsure about, normally this doesn't happen.

it is not base, it is humble

there were two questions for the circus passage

i remember the lake question asking as follows: "for those who wanted to keep the lake pristine, the drilling incident can be seen as: _______"

I was confused with the circus question, for the choice it says "parents" and not "adults". Adults are not all parents.

Yeah, stephan, so would it be fortuitous?

I thought two main things:

Because the drilling led to people wanting to explore it and set up science research expeditions, which would ruin the pristine-ness of the lake, it was dissapointing. Those who wanted to lake to remain unmolested would not have wanted it to be discovered in a drilling incedent.

But also it is fortuitous that the drill didn't plow the lake, which also would have ruined the pristine-ness.

I'm pretty sure it was adults, but... damn, maybe I've just desperately telling myself that.

yea i agree with fortuitous and also adults

"for those who wanted to keep the lake pristine, the drilling incident can be seen as: _______"

I thought it was catastrophic...

lol, Quick, I put fortuitous.

Crap...I see what you mean...grr that makes it 6x on CR....so much for 2300...:(

Catastrophic ---> Too extreme.
I immediately eliminated this.

Fortuitous... is right.
And I put adults too. I'm sooo hoping it's right... :(

adult was not a choice, that is the problem
