Completely Overwhelmed (Astrophysics, Music)

A friend of mine just called me about orientation (of which I was unable to attend) and basically through a whole lot of information at me about choosing classes and whatnot. Apparently, we're able to sign up for classes, and I'm struggling to get together an ideal schedule. My proposed major is Astrophysics, and I'm looking to try and squeeze a music minor into my schedule as well. So far, I'm considering:

ASTR 70 - 01 Honors Undergraduate Seminar in Astrophysical Research (Tu)
MATH 19A - 01 Calculus for Science, Engineering, and Mathematics (MWF)
PHYS 5A - 01 Introduction to Physics I (MWF)
PHYS 5L - 02 Introduction to Physics Laboratory (Tu)
Classical Music From Middle Ages-Present (MWF)
Porter core class (MWF)

Would this be realistic for my first year? If not, which ones should I avoid until later? On a side note, ASTR 70 will possibly be replaced with a Cosmos class.

Too many classes. You’re limited to 19 units your first quarter. So, pick 3 classes (5 units each plus lab).
Absolutely take Math 19A and Physics 5A/L along with your core classes. It’s important to get the fundamentals out of the way first, otherwise you’ll have a tangle of missing prerequisites later on.

Thanks for the quick response!

So I talked to my bud again and his advice was just to go for the Physics, Math, and Porter classes. It’s looking MUCH more manageable now.
