What are some of the top colleges that take composite scores?
Ivy's? Stanford? john Hopkins? etc?

Do UC"s take into consideration the OLD SAT?
im sure this has been answered plenty of times, but it is not clear to me yet? yes or no?

my understanding so far is that they don't

anything? please

i know stanford does and most uc's just take the new sat and the uw for some odd reason...

I believe you are asking whether they take highest section (math and verbal) scores from different SAT tests. A "composite score" is simply the total score you have on one test. The ivies take higest section scores from multiple tests, as do Stanford and Hopkins. However, I am not sure what all those are going to do in 2006, although I believe they will still take both old and new SAT and will consider highest subscores from any combination. The UC's will not accept the old SAT for 2006 so you must take the new one. Also, the UC's consider only the test with the highest composite score and do not mix and match subscores from multiple tests. You should also be aware that for 2006 the UC's will require the Math IIC SAT II and one other SAT II of your choice, but will not consider Math IC or the old SAT II writing as meeting that requirement.
