What do i have a chance to get into?? Which ones are reaches, matches, and safeties?

You are competitive for all the UC’s and CSU’s.

Best of luck.

thank you, hopefully my essays end up stellar

You’re competitive for UMich EA, but the overall EA acceptance rate is about 20%. The overall acceptance for OOS is 19%. So UMich is a reach for all OOS.

You will have to decide whether to apply to LSA or CoE, since both offer a degree in CS. Acceptance to the UMich CoE will be a bit more difficult than LSA.

Competitive for all except for UCLA and Berkeley EECS, and a reach for UW-Seattle.

UCLA, UCB, UMich, UIUC, USC, UWash, Georgia Tech, Purdue, Northeastern, and NYU are all reaches in CS for anybody. So you may want to cut a few (or not, if you’re happy having that many reaches)

2018 Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 4.20 or above capped weighted and not major specific:
UCB: 37%
UCLA: 41%

@MWolf yeah I’m aware that all of those are reaches, I have a lot of safeties though (cal states, santa clara, ucr and ucsc) and a decent amount of matches so I decided apply to a lot of reaches.

@switchoroo In that case, I would say that, as long as you’re happy with attending any of your safeties, and you can afford them, you’re actually done with setting up your college list.

Go and shine in your Senior year, and good luck!
