I signed up for an online computer science class (community college) but my mom now says that I should drop it because my goal is to get a 4.0. I am a sophomore and she thinks that I should take it over the summer.

Has anyone taken computer science? Is it demanding? She thinks I will not be able to handle it with my other advanced/H/AP classes.

Computer science is easy. It's just logic. And since I assume that it's an intro class, it shouldn't be hard even if you've never programmed before.

IMO, everybody should take computer science. After all, programming is becoming a very needed skill even outside of computer science (think about modeling chemistry, biology, etc).

I too have a similar question... I'm a sophomore and thinking about taking H. Comp. Programming 1-2 next year.

Is it demanding?
