Computer Science Placement Test

I am preparing to take the computer science placement test for CMSC131, but unlike the math placement exam, there is not a practice test, so I am having trouble distinguishing what the test will be like and cover. I took a computer science course before, but every college's' introductory computer science courses teach differently and focus on different topics, so I'd like some input to help me review and study for the placement test.

Initial questions:
1. If you have taken the placement test, how recently?
2. What were the questions like and how were they formatted(handwritten, multiple choice, definitions, etc.)?
3. What topics would you suggest studying in preparation for the exam?
4. If you know any good online study tools for this test, what are they?

Thanks for answering any of these questions! It is highly appreciated!

Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

There’s a lot of info on the Reddit website:

Might be a little different/outdated for us but some good info (like on the first link, they said a 60/88 is a passing score but on the UMD page, it says a 80+ which would be a 71/88…)

@trnsfrpplcnt
Thank you so much. Did find a lot of good info.
