Concern over Financial Aid - Not the typical concern

I was accepted to Northeastern EA and my Total Financial Aid Package was just over $35,000. My family and I have looked at it and my parents seem to think that it is very high. We submitted our CSS Profile to Davidson College in case I applied ED and they said we would receive roughly $21,000 in aid. So you can see where the concern may come in. However, I did receive nearly $14,000 in non-need based aid from Northeastern and that does add up to about $35,000.

Do you think there was a mishap in my CSS profile submission and my estimation of aid is incorrect? The package said I qualified for the Pell Grant, but my family makes over $100,000 a year. However, I have a twin brother who will be going off to college and my father will be as well.

My family and I just don't want to committ to Northeastern and receive our actual aid and it be considerably lower than the $35,000. Should we just call or email Northeastern after break ends and make sure the package is correct?

I'm sure its correct, but it wouldn't hurt to call I guess. The fact that you have a twin going to college will definitely add to the aid.

Does anyone know around what time Northeastern lets you know your final financial aid package after you submit your FAFSA?

Congratulations! You got A LOT of aid! I only got about $25,000 which still isn't enough for me to go there! Hoping for more.
