Concern that admission may be revoked

@"Erin’s Dad"‌ for most US colleges AP and IB scores are treated the same -used only for credit. Its only if your high school doesn’t report letter grades (A, B, C…) that your IB scores are used in place of your second semester senior year grades. The exception is schools in the UK which will give you conditional admission base on your predicted IB scores.
So yes someone could theoretically “fail” all their IB exams and still go to college so long as they don’t violate the standard conditions of admission at American colleges/universities (No Ds, Fs, or felonies).

@saif235‌ the way I read the OP is the final grade was a 3, not just the test. Perhaps I misinterpreted in which case I would agree the grade showing on the transcript is the important one.

My final grade for Physics is a 3/7. There are no letter grades, just IB grades.

If your school reported expected score to be 5 or higher at the time of application, you may have a problem. In this case, I would contact the school.

I did, but I haven’t gotten a response of any sort in about a week. Should I be worried? I got my housing assignment right after and everything.

I would just leave it alone.

Purdue COE is accommodating. You’re in already – and unless they have reason to believe you can’t handle the work, they’ll leave you alone. Remember: you’re the source of about $160,000 to them…

Alright everyone, just wanted to say that they wrote to me with a congratulatory letter, saying I’ve met their academic expectations and everything. I can breathe a sigh of relief now. :)

Thanks for all your responses. It really meant a lot to me!

Congratulations. Enjoy rest of your summer and good luck with your new venture.
