Here is my concern...
I'm from Korea...
my primary goal was to go to "good" college...
so eversince I came to US, I tried my best to get As' on my report card.
it was successful for jr. high school years
but not for high school years
now I'm junior
my cumulative gpa is about 3.6
last year, I had very difficult time to get good grades and as I expected, I have received many Bs' on my reportcard
This year, just because I'm currently taking 2 AP courses, my goal was to get at least 4.0 on my card for 1st semester
But my grades hardly reached Bs' on my report card....
I don't know If I can even go to any good colleges....
My dream is to become a doctor and my dream schools are
UCs', Penn states, NYU, U of Michigan Ahn Harbor, UIUC and U of washington.
is there any hope for me to get into these colleges? I heard foreign students get little advantage when they apply for certain colleges....

what are your test scores?

also, what ECs do you have?

my roommate is also from korea and trying to get into penn state and wash u, among other ivy leagues and such. her grades are straight As, so i would suggest getting your grades up as much as possible, even if that means taking fewer APs. good luck!

To be a doctor, go to a decent CHEAP state school, then go to a good med school, thats what matters

Thank you
well for my ECs,
I’m currently participating as a president for a club called Earth Club,
member of debate club, member of FBLA, member of CSF, member of Key Club, and member of pre-med society.
And I’ve been playing soccer for 3 years and swim this year
Library homework helper.
I also participated NYLSC ( This thing was leadership camp stuff, at that moment teacher told me only 3 students in the district can participate and I was one of three)
looking forward to participate medical leadership camp that some association has offered me to come.

should I get more ECs?

also I haven’t taken any SAT test yet, but looking forward to take SAT or ACT soon
but I can say that my SAT score is around 1800…
