Concerning Next Year's Essay Prompts

<p>I'm aware that the new prompts come out on October 1st, however..</p>

<p>If I were to start writing my essay/personal statement now, how much would prompts be expected to change from Autumn 2012 admissions to Autumn 2013? Do they normally retain the same general idea? (Cultural experience, change in character etc.) Will I just need to tweak as necessary? I don't want to write and write and write and have the new prompts be a complete 180 from the current ones.</p>

<p>I suppose it would be good practice either way, but you catch my drift ;)</p>

<p>Generally should be the same. I don’t think the essay prompts have changed in the past 3 years or so.</p>

<p>I visited UW this summer and I asked an admissions adviser myself and she told me that the 2012 prompt will be the same as the 2013 prompt.</p>
