Is it possible to include recommendation from my summer research supervisor in my transfer application, in addition to the two required from my college professors?

If I can do so, then how am I able to let the admission office know that such recommendation is referring to a research I did over the summer?

That’s an excellent bonus to your application package. Definitely send it. I doubt you would need to alert the adcoms in advance/separately, as your recommender will clarify the context in which he/she worked with you. Good luck!

Any way, actually I have two advisors (one professor at some lab and one from my own school), if I send both in, that means I will have 2 recommendations for summer research, 2 from my college professors, and 1 from my school dean. So that’s 5 in total. Would that be too overwhelming for the adcoms? Or I am fine with that?

It’s really your call. The Dean’s rec is a formality and really doesn’t count as a personal one, but that still leaves four. I would cap it at three and decide which ones are the best. (If all are unique and glowing, by all means send four.)
