<p>We had one section like that in intro psych and our prof barely mentioned it. The prof is the one who chooses the course material (I know our prof said some psychologists like to focus on specific material). If this material isn't in the syllabus, however, I would tell someone about it; it sounds really weird to me.</p>

If it was only for the 1st 3 weeks, let it go.
Otherwise, I guess report him, it's up to you. But maybe get input about how your classmates feel about it, first, to make sure you aren't just sensitive.</p>
