Hello there, I attend the French Lycee and I just finished my application for NYU. In case I schould be accepted what are usually the grades you have to achieve?
Acceptances in the US are not specifically conditional: typically you just have to finish your secondary school curriculum in good standing. Selective schools will sometimes ‘rescind’ an offer if your grades at the end are notably lower than what you applied with (I know somebody whose offer from Harvard was rescinded after her GPA dropped from 4.0 at the start of final year to 2.0).
Thank you very much! So that means that more or less I would have to maintain my grades but it is no disaster if it decreases by 1 point (out of 20) or so?
Exactly. As long as your grades stay in the same basic tier you are fine 
Are you doing the BAC? Don’t worry, if you pass with even 2,3 points below your predicted then it’s ok. Remember that colleges can check your grades whenever they want, so you have to keep a decent grade average
